At Huawei Technologies in Munich, our department researches and develops digital signal processing, analog components and communication systems for optical AI data center networks, broadband access, metro and backbone networks.

Senior Engineer - Digital Signal Processing for Optical Networks (m/f/d)
Your mission
Conduct innovative research in optical communication and digital signal processing to advance modem technologies for high-speed, high-capacity networks.
Develop and test algorithms to improve the performance of optical systems and signal processing techniques for coherent and direct-detect optics.
Employ AI to accelerate innovation in algorithm performance and power consumption.
Key qualifications
PhD degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering at a recognized university on the topic of signal processing.
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience after completing the PhD in optical networking.
Deep experience with optical communication systems, digital signal processing, information theory, coding, and machine learning.
Proficiency in Python and C; experience coding with LLMs.
Professional working proficiency in English.
