Job Description

In this job you will be one of the core developers for dashboards and reporting solutions in the BI team. As a front-end Power BI developer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Microsoft's Power BI platform. You will be working day-to-day driving solutions for HP’s business teams. You will be responsible for designing database workflows, combining data from multiple sources, and then applying business logic to design dashboards.

This includes but is not limited to:

• SQL development:
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases
  • Design data architecture, combing data from multiple sources
  • Backend development of newly designed dashboards to introduce business solutions.
  • Construct data source packages or data workflows
  • Ensure and be accountable for End-to-End Data Quality from sourcing to Reporting
• Power BI
  • End-to-End construction of Power BI solutions
  • Proficiency in using the Power BI platform and its various features, including Power Query, DAX, and custom visuals.
  • Drive new ideas in how to present data to the business
  • Propose other dashboard solutions if opportune
• Other technical skills
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, with knowledge of advanced Excel
  • Strong data analysis and data visualization skills.
  • Should be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of Web Development, share-point design etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Analytical tools like Python
• Experience in designing solid database models and optimizing for performance.
  • Able to lead and mentor younger developers, on driving an optimal and efficient solution of business problems
  • Able to consult other colleagues in the BI team
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Work directly with the business
  • Depending on which solution, you will work in a direct support model to the business
  • Drive the technical side of the business discussion supporting the project managers within the team
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Maintenance
  • Ensure at all time the Data Quality of BI solutions
  • Work with an active attitude, do not wait for colleagues to drive your tasks

Skills needed:

• Graduate in studies like informatics or analytics. Engineering degree or an equivalent.
• Demonstrated SQL, Power BI skills. HTML, C are an add-on. Other programming languages are good to have.
• Other technical skills – proficient in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of advance Excel. Basic knowledge of web development is good to have.
• Demonstrated knowledge of working in a complex data environment. Active and positive attitude.
• Experience on leading or mentoring younger talent
• Demonstrated experience in leading data architectural projects
• Open and clear communication skills and handles feedback and critical situations with a positive energy. Can do spirit.
• Not afraid to make mistakes and to challenge colleagues or internal customers.
• Willingness to learn about the business
• Demonstrated teamwork skills
• Demonstrated track record for excellent English.
