Job Summary

The Sustainability Program Manager will play a critical role in advancing our HP Costa Rica sustainability goals and positioning our site at the forefront of corporate sustainability efforts. You will be responsible for driving initiatives that align with our three sustainability pillars, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring our objectives are met. Your work will have a lasting impact on our organization, our partners, and the broader community. Additionally, this role could also help in overseeing the local site operations, working with the different providers to ensure that the employee experience is delivered as expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage sustainability initiatives related to Climate Action, Digital Equity, and Human Rights.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and government institutions.
• Position our site as a leader in sustainability within the corporation and in the community.
• Ensure the achievement of sustainability goals by collaborating with various teams and partners.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing clear updates and reports on progress.
• Represent our brand with a strong presence across different forums and platforms.
• Maintain strong organizational practices, ensuring meticulous attention to detail in all activities.
• Reviews the status of projects and budgets, while also managing schedules and preparing status reports.
• Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, leads, and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.

Education & Experience Recommended

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in program management, sustainability strategy, or a related role.
• Typically has 4-6 years of work experience, preferably in project management, HP Services business units and with global projects, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to plan, execute and oversee projects and initiatives with different levels of complexity.
• Ability to lead and inspire team members to achieve goals.
• Strong engagement and relationship-building skills with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and new challenges.
• Passionate about sustainability and committed to driving positive change.
• Experience working with government institutions and understanding of regulatory requirements is a plus.
