R&D Design Validation Engineer

Description -

Job Summary
This role is responsible to drive the design excellence of next‑generation products by leading end‑to‑end design validation—from concept through launch—with a strong focus on robustness, reliability, and exceptional user experience. In this role, you will blend engineering depth with digital innovation, cross‑functional teamwork, and technical leadership to ensure product quality and drive process efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product design validation for new product development, ensuring strong design integrity, reliability, and user‑centric performance.

  • Lead cross functional project team engineers, internal and outsourced development partners, to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions.

  • Design and execute test strategies for new design sub-assembly, module and integrated product.

  • Digital transformation processes by automating workflows, test execution, data collection, and analytics.

  • Integrate development data telemetry to enhance design insights, R&D decision‑making and efficiency.

  • Apply statistics (Weibull, Binomial etc), analysis tools, and DOE methodologies to characterize performance and resolve technical challenges.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, outsourced partners, and suppliers to align on design validation progress, risks, and technical decisions.

  • Mentor junior engineers and strengthen team technical competencies.

  • Innovate, learn, and strengthen team technical competencies.

  • Develop and integrate Agentic AI to complement design and validation processes.


Education & Experience Recommended

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical & Electronics Engineering

  • Engineering statistics

  • Fresh graduates are welcomed

  • (Advantage) 4-7 years of relevant work experience in engineering design or industrial standards testing of consumer products

  • (Advantage) Develops Agentic AI or integrates AI with workflow and processes

  • (Advantage) Scripting/coding through common languages like Visual C++, Python or/and data science tools
