What a College Intern - Manufacturing Process Engineer does at HP:
The candidate will learn about industry knowledge on Final Assembly manufacturing processes, gain exposure to Industry 4.0 solutions and technologies as well as technical skills such as Root Cause Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, Data Analysis and executive presentation skills.
Work as part of Inkjet Printhead Process Engineering team on projects related to Line Operational Efficiency through optimizing manufacturing process flow as well as Industry 4.0 adoption
Participate in technical investigation and failure analysis for process related quality issues
Support engineers to implement a digitized shop floor tracking system and own an integrated user platform to monitor and analyse critical operation metrics.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
Mechanical Engineering, SMART Manufacturing or Industrial System Engineering degree/masters or equivalent.
Demonstrated good understanding of the concepts of manufacturing processes and data analytics
Understanding of Industrial Engineering concept and methodology preferred
Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools preferred.
Independent with ability to grasp new technologies and methodologies quickly.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capability throughout university course work.
Able to commit 5-6 months full-time for the internship
