What a College Intern - Data Analytics in Supply Chain does at HP:
- Analyze product quality through historical data and predict the future product yield rate
- Work with supply chain domain experts to understand Laser printer supply chain problems, in the creation of analytical solutions that range from developing and delivering models, to digging for quality performance at different factories.
- Apply data science to solve quality projection problems; data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high-quality prediction systems.
- Providing projection framework in excel or power BI; whilst presenting insights to various key internal stakeholders.
- Develop skillsets, provide expertise and promote mindset of Digitalization, Advance Analytics and Artificial Intelligence solutions to the organization.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science or Quality management engineering.
- Collaborative spirit with a growth & innovative mindset.
- Proficiency with tools used to analyze data and develop algorithms and statistical analytics solutions such as Minitab, excel, Python.
- Strong communication, presentation & interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Able to commit for a 5-6 months full-time internship, starting in January 2025.
