Job Summary
• This role is responsible for developing software solutions on HP’s Poly Lens device management platform, a cloud service that enables IT professionals to remotely inventory, monitor and troubleshoot HP Poly’s suite of video and voice collaboration solutions. The role designs, codes, and deploys microservices using Typescript with Node.js on Amazon AWS hosted infrastructure. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities
• Designs, develops, and implements software services and APIs according to specifications derived in a dynamic, collaborative environment.  The scope of development will involve the full stack (front and back end services) of web development.
• Actively participates in design and code reviews, planning and implementing integration and code verification activities based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
• Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications software running on local, networked, and Internet- based platforms.
• Executes and writes portions of test automation, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.
• Identifies opportunities for performance improvements and optimizes code for application performance.
• Provides ongoing maintenance, updates, and bug fixes to ensure software applications remain functional and up-to-date.
• Collaborates on software development projects with the engineering, product management, and customer service departments.
• Supports internal and external software products; generates ideas for software innovation based on market trends.
• Participates as a member of a dynamic project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions.
• Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in cloud application development, programming, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.

Per the California statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is $90,000-$115,000.  This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.
