This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Valladolid , with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

What you will do

• Lead the development of the engine in the context of new regulations and adaptations for new or existing vehicles/platforms from Start of Project to Start of Production to meet Project milestones and to achieve Quality, Cost, Delivery and Performance objectives

• Manage the design, development and validation of engine (hardware, software and calibrations), industrialization in manufacturing plants and performance metrics (fuel efficiency, emissions, drivability, NVH).

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (design, purchasing, prototypes, process, manufacturing, supply chain, tuning, customer performance, etc.) ensuring all activities are effectively managed to meet project milestones and QCDP objectives.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated to project development.

What we’re looking for

• A proven track record of, at least 10 years, in powertrain tuning and powertrain software/system with technical experience in engine software / calibration and design.

• Master Degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering.

• Excellent skills managing engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong competencies managing economic aspects (CAPEX, OPEX) and preparing and presenting decision-making reports, with a collaborative approach
  • Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.
  • Excellent command of English and Spanish, both spoken and written; a good level of French will be valued.
