Job Duties:

Purpose & Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, engineering, and operations of core infrastructure platforms, including compute, storage, network, backup, automation, and monitoring.
• Oversee critical infrastructure solution delivery, ensuring alignment with HKEX standards, cybersecurity controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as SME on Linux platform operations, infrastructure modernization, and operational automation.
• Drive adoption of modern technologies (e.g., containerization, orchestration, IaC).
• Manage technical planning, project timelines, risk assessments, and implementation quality.
• Provide Tier‑3 escalation support and lead critical incident management.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers; review technical designs and workflows.
• Maintain and improve internal processes through automation, documentation, and standards enforcement.
• Collaborate with InfoSec, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure end‑to‑end reliability and resilience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on infrastructure engineering experience, including Linux server/Cloud administration, troubleshooting, and hardening.
• Experience in public cloud, container platforms, or storage/backup preferred.
• Strong hands‑on experience in SDN/SD‑WAN, cloud virtual networking, and modern network architectures.
• Strong understanding of automation, scripting, and process improvement.
• Proven project / technical leadership experience in large-scale IT environments.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross‑team collaboration skills.
