Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data integration, transformation, and analytics solutions across on-premise and cloud platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines.
- Develop ETL/ELT processes for ingestion, transformation, and loading of large data sets.
- Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Implement and manage data workflows using modern data engineering tools (e.g., Airflow, Databricks, Glue).
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs.
- Optimize database performance and ensure data quality, accuracy, and availability.
- Manage data integration across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Automate data validation, monitoring, and alerting systems.
Required Skills:
- 3–7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, or Flink.
- Expertise in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).
- Experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse).
- Familiarity with ETL tools and data orchestration frameworks (Airflow, NiFi, Glue).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for data services and storage.
- Understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and data pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub).
- Familiarity with containerization and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
- Exposure to machine learning pipelines or data science integration.
- Knowledge of data governance tools and practices.
- Cloud certification (AWS Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, or GCP Data Engineer).
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
