Job Description:

The role

The Railway Project Integration Engineer ensures the technical integration and multidisciplinary coordination of Signalling, Control and Block (SCB) and Telecommunications (TEL) works within railway infrastructure projects. The role connects design with field execution by validating constructability, identifying interfaces and clashes, coordinating topographical information, and supporting site teams through implementation and handover.

Job responsibilities

· Review SCB and Telecom technical solutions and confirm their applicability to actual site conditions.

· Check design documentation against customer requirements, contractual provisions, approved technical requirements, and applicable railway standards.

· Coordinate interfaces between SCB/TEL and railway infrastructure, track, drainage, electrification, power supply, civil works, technical buildings, bridges, culverts, utilities, and access roads.

· Identify design inconsistencies and multidisciplinary clashes before execution, and coordinate technically viable resolutions with designers, the general contractor, and specialist teams.

· Monitor design revisions and ensure that site teams use approved documentation and the latest applicable revision.

· Provide technical support to site managers and installation teams for interpretation and implementation of design documentation.

· Coordinate technical clarifications and support the resolution of unforeseen site conditions, non-conformities, and requests for information.

· Participate in site surveys, technical inspections, coordination meetings, and discussions with the customer and supervision team.

· Maintain the register of technical issues and changes, assess their impact on other disciplines, and contribute to variation and contractual change documentation.

· Coordinate and verify topographical data required for setting-out, installation, acceptance, and As-Built documentation.

· Prepare and update coordinate tables for SCB equipment, signals, telecom equipment, cable routes, cable chambers, crossings, and associated acceptance records.

· Report on technical interfaces, risks, open points, corrective actions, and implementation progress.

Job qualifications

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Railway Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geodesy/Topography, Transport Installations, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.

· Experience in railway and/or road infrastructure projects, preferably in multidisciplinary design coordination or site engineering.

· Ability to read, interpret, and correlate technical drawings, execution documentation, topographical information, and As-Built records.

· Good understanding of construction technologies, railway project interfaces, field constraints, and applicable technical standards.

· Practical knowledge of topographical documentation and coordinate-based equipment positioning.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with CDE/document-management platforms is required.

· Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360 and Civil 3D is an advantage.

· English language skills suitable for technical documentation and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key competencies

· Analytical thinking and strong multidisciplinary integration capability.

· Planning, organisation, prioritisation, and effective management of parallel activities.

· High attention to technical detail and document accuracy.

· Clear communication and effective collaboration with design, project, and site teams.

· Proactive problem-solving and ownership of technical interfaces through closure.

· Ability to work in complex, dynamic project environments and meet demanding deadlines.

· Availability for regular activity on railway project sites.
