**The incumbent will be joining as a co-manager overseeing the Epic Direct team, which is a team of broadly trained Epic analysts. This is an application support team that provides direct-to-staff Epic support for all clinical and operational staff and direct-to-patient technical support for myChart. They take calls, manage tickets, and provide customer service.**

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Plans, organizes, and manages applications and/or technical systems, and maintains information systems designed to facilitate the processing and delivery of information to the Health System.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the maintenance and support of production systems and the installation of new systems. (45%)
• Manages staff effectively to maximize high level of productivity. Recruit, develop and retain staff; provide feedback and conduct staff performance evaluations; determine individual training plans and ensure overall competencies (technical proficiency); and, perform department managerial functions. (40%)
• Manages operating budget and project-related expenditures. (10%)
• Manages vendor relationships. (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum

• Bachelor's in Information Systems, Business, or related field, or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
• 5 years relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to concurrently manage multiple systems and projects

Preferred

• Familiar working with electronic health record (EHR) systems, system optimization, troubleshooting technical issues.
• Understanding of Clinical Workflows, Customer Service, Interacting with Patients, familiarity with Medical Terminology. This is an IT support that is primarily phone based and occasionally goes on site to hospitals and clinics to perform go live support.
