Hexcel is currently seeking a Metallic Fillers Engineer for our Amesbury, MA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Drive innovation and world class manufacturing through introduction and development of new equipment and processes.
- Determine required equipment specifications for new capital investment projects.
- Provide hands-on experience with machine installation, start-up, process development, and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce cost, improve quality, throughput, and safety.
- Conduct trials to generate data supporting both production and product development efforts.
- Work closely with production groups to provide technical assistance with processes, equipment configurations and upgrades.
- Help generate work instructions and process control documents.
- Work closely with Environmental, Health and Safety department to improve safety and sustainability of existing processes
- Provide leadership and promote safety in the workplace.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering required
- 2-5 years of hands-on manufacturing equipment experience required
- Experience with 3D modeling software a plus
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs and automated systems desired
- Ability to diagnose and execute repairs on manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s, electrical, and mechanical drawings
- Mechanically inclined
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work well with others in a team atmosphere
- Must be US citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance
Complete salary range for this role: $68,439 - $116,346
This position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. federal government contracts that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens.
