Staff Product Manager - Experimentation Platform (f/m/x)

As a Staff Product Manager in the Experimentation Team, you'll play a pivotal role in building the right tools and processes needed for our operations, marketing and digital product teams to make data-driven decisions. In this role, you will collaborate together with Senior Product Managers. As a Staff Product Manager you’ll lead by example on how to bring the Product Craft as a whole team to the next level through coaching and mentoring. You will spearhead the enhancement of our experimentation framework and be instrumental in designing and implementing the strategic roadmap for HelloFresh's experimentation platform. Collaborating closely with data scientists, engineers, and analysts, you will shape the vision for experimentation and chart the future of our products. Additionally, you will work with senior stakeholders across the company to advocate for best practices in experimentation and embed a culture of testing and learning within HelloFresh. Your contributions will be crucial in enabling data-driven decision-making and accelerating our go-to-market strategies.

What you’ll do

Leadership and Strategy:

• Lead a cross-functional team dedicated to developing and promoting top-tier data-driven decision-making methodologies.
• Reshape the vision together with the leadership of the experimentation team and set the strategy, outline the roadmap, ensure successful implementation, and achieve key outcomes within the domain.
• Advocate for best practices in data-driven decision-making, ensuring all teams are equipped to make informed choices.

Platform and Process and People Development to enable scale:

• Create and maintain a cutting-edge experimentation platform that enables every HelloFresh employee to make well-informed, data-driven decisions that people would trust.
• Continuously engage in product discovery, prioritizing the product backlog based on business impact, feasibility, and user insights.
• Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and ensure our platform remains at the forefront of innovation.
• Scale our experimentation platform to new heights, enabling the execution of thousands of concurrent experiments across all departments, while also improving quality and trust.
• Establish and enforce standards for experimental design, execution, and analysis to ensure high-quality and reliable results.
• Provide guidance and support to internal customers on experimental best practices, helping them design and run effective experiments.

Defining success and ruthlessly prioritize to gain it:

• Set goals, metrics and feedback loops to measure the success and business impact of features launched within the experimentation platform. Not being afraid to challenge the status quo of how we do this today.
• Promote a culture of experimentation across the company through training, best practices, and thought leadership.
• Communicate plans, status updates, and results to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

What you’ll bring

• Over 5 years of product management experience in developing scalable, data-driven products, working closely with both commercial and product stakeholders, engineers, and analysts to deliver successful outcomes.
• Exceptional customer focus, always considering the needs and perspectives of both external and internal customers.
• Experience of being a heavy customer of experimentation platform(s) yourself.
• Deep understanding of experimentation methodologies, statistics, and relevant tools.
• Leadership abilities with the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels without direct authority.
• Methodical problem-solving skills, with experience collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, and analysts to derive and interpret key insights for informed decision-making. You possess a strong intuition for knowing when to dive deep into data and when to rely on broader insights.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You can clearly articulate business challenges, decisions, and priorities to engineering teams and business stakeholders. You are a collaborative team player who brings positive energy, contributes to problem-solving, and embodies a growth mindset.
