The role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at HelloFresh, you will be part of a team that builds data platform tooling. Our team develops a low-code, config-based, unified platform product that simplifies and streamlines building data products. Internal users leverage that platform to increase their efficiency and reduce the time it takes to turn data into insights. It’s a crucial team for making us the data-driven organization we are. We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with a backend focus, who can also help us build basic UI for the tools that we are building. What you’ll do

• Take ownership of the architecture, development, deployment and maintenance of the services and tooling you will develop. 
• Develop a unified tool for the Data Platform, including API, UI, additional tooling, CI/CD, and infrastructure.
• Define and set standards for data platform tooling usage across the organization.
• Share your expertise on UI and API development across team members.
• Collaborate in an autonomous, cross-functional team with product owners and data engineers.

What you’ll bring

• Proficiency in end-to-end development using Python (preferred), Java, or Golang, with expertise in unit, integration, and functional testing, as well as application tuning and profiling.
• Solid frontend development skills with React.
• Ability to design and develop robust APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD best practices.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and object storage solutions (e.g., AWS S3).
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring, sharing knowledge, and staying up to date with industry trends.

Interacting with front-end developers, designers, product managers and our teams around the world is very much part of our day-to-day, so communication skills are vital. We are looking for strong problem-solvers who can apply their engineering skills to a wide range of platforms and environments, while also acting as an ambassador to coach team members and stakeholders.
