The role

As the People Technology Lead Technical Program Manager, you’ll be in a key leadership role within the Global People Technology Tribe at HelloFresh. You’ll be responsible for the program management of our strategic People Technology programs across HelloFresh group, and will be responsible for driving projects and programs using Agile methodologies, assuring a high-quality delivery in all our People Technology Squads and offerings (Service Support, Service Delivery and Strategic Projects).

You will work in a very hands-on manner to reduce risk to delivery in People Technology initiatives, and to improve the operational efficiency of all People Technology services. You’ll add value to the Tribe by using your communication, risk management, problem solving, project management and technical knowledge, and will be a key enabler to HelloFresh’s vision for a People Function and wider business enabled by HR Technology.

What you’ll do

  • Be responsible for standardizing and managing project and program management processes and practices within the Global People Technology Tribe, establishing and enforcing program management standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Create and maintain a consolidated and consistent view of all People Technology projects and programs which can be used to effectively manage the tribe and communicate critical information to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Manage the lifecycle of strategic People Technology projects using an agile framework - overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of People Technology projects and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Organize and run various agile ceremonies to support agile program execution and delivery, engaging teams from Product Management and People Tech Engineering.
  • Engage in project estimations and reporting on project performance, budget, and delivery. 
  • As an individual contributor, provide program management leadership, guidance, and day-to-day execution support for the People Technology Tribe and support the development of People Technology Project Managers to build their project management capabilities and grow their skills.
  • Establish and control project scopes at the high level so that all the efforts are aligned with the overall People Technology strategy.
  • Proactively identify, communicate and resolve risks and issues that arise in People Technology initiatives and track the progress and completion rates of tasks so they can be easily understood and actioned by leadership and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and HR departments to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements.
  • Promote a culture of learning, feedback, ownership and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring 

  • 5+ years experience in Technical Program / Project Management, ideally in People Technology Programs / Projects.
  • Deep understanding of Agile product development methodologies
  • A working knowledge of the HR function and HR key concepts.
  • The ability to work independently and to proactively identify new opportunities to improve what we deliver in People Technology and how we deliver it.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, being clear and concise in both written and verbal communication.
  • You are highly organized and have a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence others.
  • An ability to engage with senior stakeholders and tailor your engagement approaches accordingly. 
  • You have the ability to look across a proposed solution and understand the end-to-end, identify improvements and gaps that may exist, and convince others on technical improvements.
