This role participates in a 12-month Analytics Consulting Program in the health care payer space. Participants gain hands-on experience supporting analytics and strategic projects across multiple lines of business and functional areas.

What Are Your Responsibilities?

• Produce datasets and reports for analysis using enterprise reporting tools.
• Perform research and assist in analyzing financial and health care information.
• Analyze business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources.
•  Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets.
• Provide insights to decision-makers.
• Construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic or tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
• Create specifications for reports and analyses based on business needs and available data elements.
• Build dashboards and data visualizations.
• Translate complex analysis into clear business recommendations.

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in health information management, public health, health care administration, epidemiology, industrial engineering, data science, statistics, business administration or a related analytical field. Other degrees may be considered.
• Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. We are not offering this program under OPT or CPT or sponsoring work visas for these roles.
• Experience working in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to think analytically using a logical, systematic and sequential approach.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using standard procedures.
• Ability to operate with guidance and direction.
• Research and information-evaluation skills.
• Attention to detail, organization and effective management of time and resources.
• Ability to balance the needs of the team with those of the broader organization.

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

• Preferred: knowledge of or experience with Teradata SQL and Tableau.
• Preferred: experience with Python, R, Alteryx or other data-processing tools.
• Preferred: internship or project-based experience in analytics, business intelligence or data reporting.
• Preferred: health care or health insurance analytics experience.

What Does the New Grad Program Entail?

• Participants hired into the Analytics Consulting Program also participate in HCSC’s enterprise New Grad experience, which complements role-specific development during their first year.
• Formal New Employee Orientation to build business and industry acumen.
• A six-month enterprise development experience designed to support the transition from school to the workplace.
• Professional development focused on communication, relationship building, navigating workplace challenges, critical thinking and career growth.
• Opportunities to connect with peers and company leaders across HCSC.
• Meaningful role-specific work and development through the 12-month Analytics Consulting Program.

Compensation: $52,200.00 - $94,600.00
