Job Description

Do you want to be part of the team developing the next generation platform for digital learning? 

Software development with modern patterns and methods such as APIs, Micro Services and DevOps are right up your alley? 

Join us and become part of our new Digital Learning Experience project. Our goal is to leave the hour-long trainings behind and offer you immersive short ones, that support you at the right moment, understand what it is you are missing and what you like to know more!

What awaits you:

• You will be part of a highly skilled team, that knows how to build engaging UX, a scalable platform and dives into big data topics
• You will help our international team to develop a data-driven product
• You drive and participate in the definition, the direction and the development of the DLX data lake
• You digest cutting edge research while cooperating with other teams to bring science into our product
• You will work with data scientists, software developers, business psychologists to ensure data availability and streams are available and relevant
• You will shape the technology stack of the product and take smart decision when using the latest technologies
• Together with the team, you will help shape and radically transform the way we do product development in our organization

Qualifications

What you bring:

• You know how to build systems in a modern world, understand the trade-offs of what you need to get right from the start vs what can be improved later
• You have experience with large data sets, data streams, data visualization and deep understanding of distributed data architecture and its implementations
• Experience with tools such as Kafka, Ranger, Hadoop, Spark (with ML focus)
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB.
• Experience with ML toolkits such as SparkML, R / Python packages.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure
• You like working on the cutting edge and have experience with multiple languages and frameworks.
