About the Team

The HCP Identity & Access Management (IAM) engineering teams craft secure, scalable, and intuitive solutions for managing identities and access control within the HashiCorp Cloud Platform.This involves building authentication, authorization and access control systems, all while making the product experience seamless for our users, customers and developers.  As a high-impact, high-visibility, fully remote team, we are guided by the Taos of HashiCorp principles in our product development and collaboration. We closely collaborate with various cloud partners across the company, steadfastly adhering to our core values.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Develop next-generation distributed systems for the HashiCorp Cloud Platform
  • Architect and build systems for managing extremely large-scale global fleets of resources that are scalable, reliable, and enterprise-level
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including customers, product, design and a dedicated team of engineers, delivering incremental value to the business while enhancing your skills
  • Build tools and primitives that empower engineers at HashiCorp to easily build authentication and authorization into their products
  • Own the full lifecycle of feature development, from design through testing and release

 

You may be a good fit for our team if you

  • Have 5+ years of professional software development experience and are proficient in at least one backend programming language (Golang preferred)
  • Are an Identity professional with experience leading authentication, authorization, and identity management initiatives in complex environments
  • Have industry experience in building globally distributed systems in Golang, integrating with Identity-as-a-Service platforms like Auth0 or Okta and the major Cloud Service Provider Identity systems
  • Expertise designing and building authorization systems (RBAC and ABAC)
  • Are pragmatic, methodical, well-organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter
  • Have a constant desire to grow, learn, and explore new things

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.

The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:
$176,000$207,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:
$161,300$189,800 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:
$146,600$172,500 USD
