Hasbro is currently recruiting enthusiastic, technically curious & creative engineering students to assist Engineers & Project Managers in the development of our products. You will learn how a toy or game is developed from initial concept in the through the manufacturing and sampling review process. While supporting the team and leading Project Engineering work there are also opportunities to take on independent project or product design responsibility.
What You'll Do:
Work with Development teams to ensure quality, cost and schedule adherence.
Assist Engineers during concept development, prototyping, product testing, and manufacturing debug
Provide technical advice and feasibility assessment for new product concepts
Communicate with cross functional teams (Marketing, Design, Project Management, Packaging, Quality, Legal, and Hasbro Far East Engineers) on product content issues throughout the entire development process.
Create product specification packages (using Excel, Word and our web-based product development system) to define product content and functionality, including cost and delivery targets
Participate in cost review and reduction efforts to meet business objectives
Part and mechanism creation with SolidWorks may be available for candidates with knowledge of this CAD software (depending on business need)
What You'll Bring:
Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student. Students graduating in 2025 are NOT eligible for Fall 2025 co-op opportunities.
Co-op assignment can be either a required or optional requirement for graduation. Must be available to work full-time as a co-op from July - December 2025
Completion of at least one year of study towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Strong time/project management skills & the desire to build/expand proficiency in this area
Intermediate-level skills in MS Excel, Word & Outlook & web-based applications
Previous project work or co-op experience in manufacturing, product design engineering, mechanism design, compound development
Passion for collaboration, play and consumer product development
Candidates are responsible for their own housing & transportation (FREE Parking).
Compensation Range, Currency USD:
Starting Pay Range: $30/hr
Pay Range End: $33/hr
