Backend Engineer (Fresher & Experienced)

Location: Hyderabad, India

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications, services, and RESTful APIs.
• Build scalable and secure APIs and, where applicable, microservices.
• Develop and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases, queries, schemas, and data access layers.
• Implement business logic and backend workflows for healthcare applications.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, payment gateways, healthcare services, and other external systems.
• Ensure backend applications meet requirements for security, performance, scalability, reliability, and data integrity.
• Implement appropriate authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, and logging.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and product teams.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application and production issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development and coding best practices.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and API response times.
• Maintain technical documentation, API documentation, and system-related documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• For experienced engineers, contribute to backend architecture, technical design, scalability, and technical decision-making.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong programming fundamentals in at least one backend language such as:
• Java
• C# / .NET
• Python
• Node.js / JavaScript
• PHP, if applicable to your technology stack
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and common programming concepts.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Understanding of database tables, relationships, joins, indexes, and basic query optimization.
• Basic knowledge of Git and version control.
• Understanding of SDLC and software development practices.
• Basic understanding of authentication, authorization, and application security is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Candidates with academic projects, internships, GitHub projects, or personal backend projects are encouraged to apply.

• 2–6 years of hands-on backend development experience.
• Strong programming experience in one or more backend technologies such as Java, C#/.NET, Python, Node.js, or PHP.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of backend architecture, application design, and software development patterns.
• Strong experience with SQL databases and database design.
• Experience with SQL query optimization, indexing, transactions, and database performance tuning.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services.
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, validation, logging, and error handling.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum development practices.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Good understanding of application security and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
