We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our Milwaukee, WI office. We currently have numerous design and inspection assignments for transportation infrastructure related projects within the region.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical design & inspection (i.e. low/high power distribution systems, industrial control systems, lighting, etc.)
  • Prepare contract plans, special provisions, calculations, engineer’s estimates, inspection reports, and technical memorandums
  • Reviews drawings and recommends necessary changes
  • Research design options and document findings for Project Managers
  • Troubleshoot operational issues for movable bridges
  • Job duties will involve a mixture of office and field work

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-EAC Accredited Degree); Specialization in Electrical Power Systems preferred
  • EIT certification and Wisconsin PE license (preferred) or ability to obtain within four years
  • 0 to 6 years of experience (3 preferred) in Electrical Engineering
  • Hands-on experience (preferred)
  • Preferred experience designing and implementing industrial power distribution systems, instrumentation and process control
  • Experience with electrical controls for electric motors is a plus
  • Experience with CAD and drawing software, AutoCAD and Microstation (preferred)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel for short term assignments on an as-needed basis
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and commitment to work as part of a team both in the office and in the field
