About this position

You will be responsible for defining the system solution for NN-based image signal processing algorithms.

In your role, you will be tasked with designing an ISP solution that leverages NN to replace classic ISP algorithms and taking the solution from the POC stage to production. You will scope the existing landscape of literature and select solutions which are appropriate for running on Hailo’s embedded HW, perform proof-of-concept, define system KPIs, and finally carry the solution to product grade level and deployment on Hailo’s Vision-Processor. 

  1. Domain expert in the field of neural network image enhancement for video cameras.
  2. Work with the product team to translate high-level product functions to system building blocks and drive R&D efforts to implement them.
  • Implement proof-of-concept projects, taking ideas from papers and public reports and showing product fit.
  • Technological leadership in a multi-disciplinary environment. You will be working with both external partners and internal technical leadership. You will be expected to understand the various disciplines in a detailed manner and to be both a technical and project focal point for all aspects of the project.
  • BSc in Electronic Engineering or CS.
  • At least 6 years of previous experience in R&D development where you stood out due to your technical excellence. Show a proven track record of technical leadership and excellence.
  • High-level analytic skills and ability to read and understand academic literature.
  • Strong programming skills and ability to design simulation environments to test algorithmic solutions.
  • We want self-motivated individuals who strive to be elite in what they do and push our product to be the best AI edge accelerator in the world.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to analyze complex problems and present the results succinctly and accurately to the company leadership.
  • "Can do attitude" – We don’t always understand the problem we want you to solve. Your most important job is to help us understand the problem. The solution will follow.
  • Feel very comfortable quickly learning new disciplines and trying out new things.

Previous experience in at least one of the following:

  1. ISP algorithm development
  2. Development of deep learning solutions to product grade including data collection and training.
  • MSc in CS/EE with thesis in signal processing or machine learning.
  • Start-up experience.
  • Lab experience and working with test or optical equipment
  • Working at the system level of complicated multi-disciplinary systems e.g. ADAS, satellites, defense projects etc.
