✨The core mission of the Head of Defensive Content Engineering

The Head of Defensive Content Engineering collaborates with various stakeholders to define the product roadmap, so that it aligns with the overall strategy and priorities of the org while leading a team of engineers to deliver the roadmap. Delivering top-notch content for blue teamers’ readiness, aligned with global trends, is at the core of the role. 

🍺 The fellowship you’ll be joining:

HTB’s defensive team is a relatively new team, established two years ago. The team is part of the wider content engineering team, consisting of 30+ security engineers with a passion for cyber readiness! The closest stakeholders for you will be the product team, infra team, software engineering, as well as marketing and sales.

  • Collect feedback, ideas and insights about defensive content from multiple internal stakeholders
  • Evaluate, enrich and take ownership of defensive content engineering strategy/roadmap 
  • Coordinate efforts for defensive content creation, while having a hands on approach
  • Enrich existing HTB offerings with defensive/blue teaming elements
  • Develop content that is aligned with companies’ needs 
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of defensive content engineers (5-7 people)
  • Identify external contractors and work with them directly to deliver unique content pieces. 

🏆Skills, knowledge, and experience points required to unlock the role of Head of Defensive Content Engineering at Hack The Box:

  • Strong business acumen when it comes to enterprises’ defensive cybersecurity needs/situation/priorities
  • Advanced stakeholder management & professional communication skills
  • Proven ability in technical project management and orchestration of various technical teams with successful deliveries 
  • Proven team management experience (coaching, planning, developing) 
  • Passion for upskilling of blue teamers and improving the cybersecurity readiness of organizations through their people upskilling 
  • Extensive experience in multiple SOC Levels 
  • Experience in security engineering, setting up and configuration of defensive tools (Kibana, SIEM, EDR, etc.)
  • Working experience in Digital Forensics 
  • Professional experience in patching, threat hunting and incident response
