Product Developer (9m FTC Maternity Cover)

As a Product Developer, you will be at the forefront of our product development process, working closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to create exceptional products. If you have a passion for garment construction, a keen eye for detail, and an ability to navigate a fast-paced environment, this position is tailor-made for you!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Leading fittings and proto reviews, analysing and communicating outcomes with teams and vendors.
• Ensuring garments comply with measurements, quality, construction, and fit standards.
• Recommending and executing commercial construction solutions.
• Developing accurate Tech Packs and BOMs.
• Managing styles/collections from concept to launch with Senior Developers' support.
• Planning and organising allocated workload efficiently.
• Maintaining key relationships to deliver quality products within target margins and design aesthetics.
• Supporting Senior Team Leaders in reporting and tracking Product Creation Calendar and Critical Path.
• Collaborating on new fabric, trim, and logo developments to ensure products are fit for purpose.
• Coordinating pre-costing and development with design/development workshops.
• Identifying and managing wear testing for styles.
• Executing and supporting seasonal projects.
• Analysing data to offer solutions, communicating recommendations, and presenting action points to teams.
• Being an inspiring role model, fostering an open, transparent, and safe team culture.
• Contributing to evolving and establishing best-in-class development standards at Gymshark.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Skills:

• Relevant experience working in a Product Development function, preferably with global Activewear/Sportswear brands.
• Strong skills in garment construction, fit, engineering, and a sound understanding of performance fabrics.
• Key influencing and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability to evolving business needs and priorities.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to identify risks and confidently provide practical solutions.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment, showing flexibility and resilience under pressure.
• Knowledge of pattern making and experience using PLM systems are advantageous.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships and contribute to team success in dynamic settings.

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
