THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Senior Frontend (React Native) Software Engineer to join our CODE (Consumer Digital Experience) - Explore squad in Portugal!

CODE is an acronym for Consumer Digital Experience, which means we're in charge of the experience and services that will guide people in their well-being journey. Our main goal in CODE is to make well-being universal. From knowing about Wellhub, and getting access to exclusive benefits, to using our vast partner's network, it is in the end-user experience. 

CODE teams are responsible for developing and maintaining Wellhub App, frontend, and backend services, and Design System and work closely with product, UX, and data teams to create an excellent experience for the users of our platform.

Our goal as the Explore team is to showcase all the partners available to users, including facilities, applications, classes, and more. Users can interact with the map to find partners in specific regions and utilize filters for activities, plans, and other criteria to further refine their results.

YOUR IMPACT

• Work within an agile talented engineering team;
• Help to define the architecture of systems and integrations, bring innovation to the table, and make sure design docs are up to date;
• Support existing systems looking to enhance functionality, increase scale, and transform in new ways to meet our product demands;
• Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production environment, as well as in writing useful and critical post-mortems;
• Help and mentor other developers;
• Work with cutting-edge technologies and edge cases on a global scale;
• Follow-up engineering and product KPIs;

WHO YOU ARE

• An engineer with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience;
• Consolidated experience in mobile development;
• Experience with React Native ecosystem;
• Experience with GraphQL (Client-side and Server-side);
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and KPIs tracking;
• Experienced in implementing prototypes and in practices and concepts such as MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles for rolling-out features to production;
• Proficient in a broad range of common UX patterns;
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills;
• Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems;
• Strong communication skills, including verbal and written English.
