Team Function:

SMS Service - SMS service is responsible for sending and receiving text messages/MMS/chat traffic through company-based products, tools, and services. Service is a comprehensive solution designed to be highly available, scalable, streamline communication processes built on a subscription-based model, keep track of all incoming/outgoing messages with their status, enhance productivity, ensure compliance, and optimize resource utilization. Incorporates other additional social channels like WhatsApp, WeChat, Facebook Messenger, etc.

Reports to: Lead Software Engineer

Job Location: Pune

Work Mode: Hybrid

Work timings: 1 pm to 10 pm IST (As will be working closely with US Eastern time zone Engineering team) 

What You’ll Do:  

• Develop and support scalable and maintainable software solutions using .NET, WebAPI, Microservices, and Azure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and leads, including product managers to understand project requirements.
• Hands-on coding and development using .NET technologies for backend development.
• Build new applications/services/platforms.
• Refactor legacy components using innovative/scalable platforms.
• Participate in agile SDLC meetings with other engineering teams (Full-stack, QA, DevOps, and Product teams)
• Work with large database schemas that would include adding and updating tables and rows.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards in software design and development.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Implement and advocate for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.

 What You Have: 

• Core Development: 8+ years of experience developing software using C#, .Net core, WebAPI, Entity Framework Core, and SQL server.
• Azure Services: Service Bus, Functions, Managed SQL, Azure Storage, Key-Vault, Azure Load Balancer, API Management, App Service, Web Apps, Web Jobs, Azure Active Directory, Azure Monitor, CosmosDB, Application Gateway, API Gateway, Azure Key Vault, PowerShell, JSON, Azure Analytics, Redis Cache
• Familiarity with software design principles and architecture patterns, OOPS concepts.
• Hands-on experience in building C#.NET Core WebAPIs.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as xUnit.
• Design and build highly available, scalable, and maintainable software with security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration tools (Git, Jenkins, TFS)
• Hands-on experience working with containers and container orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker)
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred to have:

• Experience with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services)
• Knowledge in NoSQL database (e.g. Key-Value, Document, Graph, Columnar)
• Comfortable with PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, and ARM Templates are a plus.
• Earlier experience working on messaging platform.
• Third Party API - SendGrid, Twilio, MailGun – (all optional)
• Experience with CQRS and Domain-Driven Design
