Job Description

As a Software Manual QA Tester, you will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs. In this role, the Software Manual QA Tester should have a keen eye for detail and analytic mind. Must be competent in authoring, maintaining, and executing testing documentation and are passionate about quality. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality, assists in debugging and modification software. Ultimately, will ensure our applications and system work correctly.

What you will do:

⁃ Review and analyze system specifications and requirements

⁃ Develop, maintain, execute test cases and estimate for assigned effort

⁃ Log defects and track to closure, working with development team to establish defect. validity, cause and retesting as required

⁃ Experience in DB testing and in writing simple to medium complexity SQL queries

⁃ Conduct pre-releasing testing

⁃ Perform smoke testing, regression testing, verifying claimed bug fixes

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful:

⁃ Proven 2y+ experience as QA tester or similar role

⁃ BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education

⁃ Experience with bug tracking software such as Jira

⁃ Working skills in developing and maintaining testing documentation

⁃ Excellent attention to detail, with an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

⁃ A strong understanding of software test cycle process

⁃ Ability to work in both a team environment and independently

⁃ Ability to learn quickly and effectively

⁃ Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Additional Information

⁃ Professional certification in software testing or quality control is an advantage

⁃ Experience in TestRail or equivalent is a plus
