Product Owner - Camera Products

Location: Breda, Netherlands

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner with a strong technical background in complex hardware and embedded software systems to support the development of professional broadcast camera products. In this role, you act as the key link between Product Management and R&D, translating product strategy and priorities into clear, actionable work for multidisciplinary development teams.

You will operate in a high‑tech environment combining hardware, FPGA, and embedded software development. By working closely with engineering teams and technical stakeholders, you ensure that requirements, priorities, and dependencies are clearly understood and effectively reflected in planning and execution. Your contribution lies in enabling predictable delivery through strong backlog ownership, clear requirements, and stakeholder alignment across the product lifecycle.

Your Role
  • Serve as the primary R&D‑facing counterpart for Product Management, ensuring alignment on scope, expectations, priorities, and delivery planning
  • Translate product roadmap input into prioritized and well‑structured backlogs, balancing customer value, technical dependencies, constraints, and delivery impact
  • Drive requirements engineering activities, translating stakeholder needs into clear, structured, and testable requirements and well‑defined backlog items with appropriate acceptance criteria
  • Work as Product Owner within the development setup, collaborating closely with Scrum Masters or Technical Program Managers to support effective planning and delivery
  • Facilitate and contribute to product and technical trade‑off discussions, providing clarity on priorities and scope while balancing performance, cost, quality, manufacturability, and serviceability from a product and lifecycle perspective
  • Incorporate input from Manufacturing and Service & Support into backlog refinement to support robustness, maintainability, and lifecycle requirements
  • Provide transparency on priorities, risks, dependencies, and planning implications across related camera products where applicable
  • Support near‑ and mid‑term product and release planning in alignment with ongoing development
  • Contribute to the delivery of broadcast‑grade products meeting high standards for quality, reliability, and real‑time performance

Who You Are
  • You have a strong technical background that enables you to understand and assess requirements across embedded software, FPGA, and hardware domains
  • You are comfortable engaging in technical discussions with engineers and architects, understanding the implications of design choices on product scope, planning, and value
  • You have several years of experience as a Product Owner in complex and technically demanding R&D environments
  • You have solid experience with requirements engineering and backlog refinement in close collaboration with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • You are comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and balancing business objectives with technical constraints
  • You are familiar with Agile / Scrum methodologies and effective backlog management practices
  • You are a strong communicator, able to clearly explain priorities, rationale, and trade‑offs, and to align stakeholders with different perspectives
  • You are fluent in English (written and spoken); Dutch language skills are a plus
  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in broadcast, imaging, real‑time systems, or high‑performance electronics is a strong advantage

Working Conditions
  • Competitive compensation package
  • Attractive pension scheme
  • Generous annual leave allowance
  • Flexible working hours
  • A challenging and impactful role within a high‑performance R&D organization
  • Direct involvement in our professional broadcast camera products
  • Positive and collaborative working environment with highly skilled product management, engineering, manufacturing, and service teams, closely working together on cutting-edge technologies
