[What you will be working on]
We are seeking a Systems Engineer (Modelling & Simulation) to join Smart City Technology Division, delivering value-added M&S solutions within the government. As a Systems Engineer, you will be designing, integrating and implementing M&S systems in the Built Environment. You will work on simulation projects involving 3D simulations on cloud platforms, with opportunities to learn and work with high-performance computing. You should have a foundation in software development and interest in cloud technologies. Additionally, you will explore new simulation techniques and capabilities, develop standards, best practices and promote adoption of M&S technologies.
What to Expect:
Understand M&S requirements from users and develop corresponding system functionalities
Design and develop M&S systems and services, primarily involving 3D simulations
Learn to integrate simulation solvers into cloud-based systems
Deploy M&S systems and services onto cloud platforms with guidance and training
Design and develop simulation workflows for various use cases
Work with 3D file formats for simulation purposes
Contribute to developing M&S roadmaps, standards and best practices
Explore new simulation techniques and capabilities for the built environment
[What we are looking for]
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline
Programming experience in any modern language (Python, JavaScript, Java, C++ etc.)
Working knowledge in cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Basic understanding of software development practices
Willingness to learn Linux systems and command-line tools
Understanding of simulation, modelling, or computational methods is advantageous
Experience with any of the following is a plus: cloud platforms, HPC, workflow tools, APIs, DevOps, CFD, or 3D modelling
Team player with good communication skills
