Tire Construction Engineer

Job Description

This position is responsible for the development of projects with moderate complexity or working on complex projects in cooperation as potentailly the sole representative of a process area. The incumbent seeks solutions to technical problems, conducts work on assigned tasks & exhibits asignificant level of knowledge and expertise.

Create solid models/drawings detailing tire tread patterns and tooling to be used in the manufacture of tire molds

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY     Develop new technical solutions to meet product requirements.

Gain an understanding of available technology and standards to use in applied projec. Use appropriate level of technology for application.  Work in teams to develop product which meet requirements. Avoid inappripriate levels of risk.

Support development of processes within functional group. Engage in cross divisional processes. Insure transfer to projects and functions. Support to develop technology products or processes and advise leading to innovation.

 PROBLEM SOLVING    

Gather and analyze data to solve problems. Communicate results to the team.

Anticpate problems and identify them proactively. Develop and advise on new problem solving strategies.

Use collaboration to solve problems and make decisions. Develop new tools and methods to solve problems. Collect data and inputs to make decisions. Consult with resources. Make decisions based on facts. Consider alternatives and rule out unlikely outcomes. Advise others on novel processes.

PROJECT MANGEMENT    

Serve as a technical liaison for various internal functions, manufacturing facilities and tire manufacturers by providing technical support. Use known, and develop new, tools and stanadards for project execution.

Execute, develop, and advise necessary steps and activities for project execution. Deliver to project objectives. Provides advice that adds value to project planning. Develop and create approaches to mitigate risk.  Advise on lessons learned. Develop/advise/use creative approaches to execute projects. Execute project closeout phase.

Expand technical knowledge and skill development for position specific skills and personal development.
