The Project Manager for the Legal Department will support GoodLeap's in-house team of attorneys through management of Legal projects and fostering of communication with key stakeholders across the business. This role involves utilizing project management tools and techniques to manage initiation, planning and ownership, execution, monitoring and reporting, and closure of projects. The Project Manager will establish relationships with other internal teams to assist with the smooth cascade of legal changes, integration of legal consultation early in initiative lifecycles, and realistic expectation setting for legal review turnaround times; and will provide the General Counsel with oversight of projects: those on track, any issues and bottlenecks, areas for process improvement, and resource balancing.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:
- Provide comprehensive project management support to the in-house Legal team, shepherding projects from initiation to closure.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, track deliverables, and provide oversight of delivery of Legal projects.
Tool Implementation and Management:
- Leverage project management tools to streamline workflows, enhance visibility to leadership, and improve overall efficiency.
- Enable team members to use these tools as needed, supporting consistent usage for optimal results.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Establish and maintain relationships with other departments to build legal review into initiatives from the outset.
- Involve the Legal team early in initiative development to ensure legal considerations are anticipated and can be addressed in a - timely manner. 
- Develop and communicate realistic expectations for legal review based on the big picture of workload and resources.
Performance Monitoring:
- Regularly report on the status of Legal projects to the General Counsel, providing insights on progress, potential issues, and resource needs.
- Identify bottlenecks in project execution, and work with attorneys, stakeholders, and leadership to resolve them.
Resource Assessment:
- Assist the General Counsel in assessing the capacity of the Legal team and identify whether additional resources or attorneys are required to meet GoodLeap's strategic objectives and anticipated growth.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze current processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
-Partner with Legal Operations Manager to propose standardized procedures and templates to streamline repetitive operations.
Team Support:
-Support attorneys in managing their individual workloads by providing organizational and administrative assistance as needed.
-Foster a collaborative environment within the Legal team and with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project execution.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • A seasoned project manager with the ability to drive Company and Departmental goals and innovate technological and process solutions to achieve project efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Possesses a strong technical background with the ability to develop, implement and leverage Project Management tools and systems to help run projects to completion
  • An analytical thinker who thrives on data-driven decision making and utilizes metrics to measure success.
  • A born problem solver with a knack for identifying opportunities in ambiguity, assessing and mitigating risks and crafting innovative solutions.
  • A natural communicator who can bridge the gap between legal, technical teams, business stakeholders, and end-users.

Compensation:  $120k - $140k annually
