In Platform Solutions (PS), we empower clients with innovative and customer-centred financial products. PS is comprised of four main businesses, underpinned by engineering, operations and risk management: 

• Transaction Banking, a cash management and payments platform for clients building a corporate treasury system.
• Enterprise Partnerships, consumer financial products that companies embed directly within their ecosystems to better serve their end customers.
• Merchant Point-of-Sale Lending, a platform that provides custom credit financing for home improvement merchants to offer directly to their customers.
• ETF Accelerator, a platform for clients to launch, list and manage exchange-traded funds.

Transaction Banking

Transaction Banking, aims to provide comprehensive cash management solutions for corporations. Transaction Banking combines the strength and heritage of a 148-year-old financial institution with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up. Data & Analytics Platform is a global engineering team with pods across New-York, London, Bangaluru, and Dallas. We are responsible for detailed technical design and development of data-intensive capabilities using existing and emerging technologies.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

Working in the Data Platform team, you will be responsible for the development, testing, rollout and support of new features, working alongside product owners and other stakeholders. You will be working as part of our global team, and will shape and implement our strategic vision of a consumer-grade, industry beating experience. You will participate in to a world-class engineering culture, while integrating business value and client experience within the team. 

Your role includes development, test and rollout of data platform features. Our platform is made of Java and Python services that inter-operate with Airflow, Flink, Kafka, GraphQL, REST, various AWS services, as well as vendor and external systems 

You are expected to contribute to the vision and roadmap, and a world-class engineering culture, while integrating business value and client experience within the team.

This initiative is of critical importance to the success of the organization and our roadmap. Services like liquidity analytics, billing, client onboarding, reporting and others will rely on the data platform. Accurate, granular, complete and timely data is a key differentiator and competitive advantage in the market place.

We expect a successful candidate to have excellent communication skills, deliver high quality software and to be passionate about cutting edge engineering.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant programming languages (Java) , experience with microservices architecture 
• Minimum 2+ year production experience with Kafka, Kinesis or equivalent
• Experience in REST and/or GraphQL
• Experience in working with data-bases – NoSQL and/or Relational.
• BS. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience in Financial Services or Fintech
