Description
Founded by two ex-Coinbase employees and backed by top investors including Andreesen Horowitz, Coinbase, IDEO, and Kindred Ventures, we believe blockchain technology will reshape the global economy and expand access to capital around the world. Warbler labs is the team building the tools and technology to make that possible.

Heron Finance is the first and only automated investing platform offering accredited US investors access to the rapidly growing private credit asset class. Its launch has coincided with a private credit boom, as both macroeconomic and regulatory tailwinds are currently benefiting the sector.

Heron Finance uses the benefits of the blockchain infrastructure to provide a better way to access private credit, and if you are an accredited investor, all you need is a standard bank account to begin investing.

We are seeking an experienced private credit investment professional to lead our research efforts. This foundational role within our newly established unit will involve both qualitative and quantitative assessments of private-credit managers and strategies. The Head of Research will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of our credit team, reporting directly to the Chief Credit Officer.

  • Perform on-going monitoring of funded investments on recurring and ad hoc basis
  • Establish standard operating procedures for end-to-end investment process
  • Partner with fund managers and internal Finance and Operations teams to ensure frictionless onboarding and scalable risk monitoring
  • Partner with product, marketing, investors relations, and other teams on strategic and business development projects

What we look for in you (i.e. job requirements):

  • 5+ years of private-credit manager research and due diligence experience as an institutional investor at a fund of funds, asset management firm, or similar institution
  • 2+ years of credit underwriting experience at a private credit fund, an investment bank, or a buy-side institution
  • Strong credit analysis, three-statement financial modeling, and legal documentation skills
  • Process-driven and adept at performing according to established standard operating procedures
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment, with limited oversight
  • Excellent interpersonal skills across a variety of communication styles
  • Extreme intellectual and personal integrity
  • Ownership mentality
