As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will improve the way millions of customers connect with novel and nostalgic food experiences on our platform by partnering up with business leaders and leveraging state-of-the-art machine learning and engineering resources.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with senior engineers, data scientists / analysts, and product managers to improve our search, recommendations, and personalization algorithms.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust machine learning systems that scale, ensuring the seamless delivery of personalized food experiences.
• Develop scalable algorithms based on state-of-the-art ML approaches around search, retrieval, recsys, NLP.
• Enhance the core ML infrastructure, focusing on product/user embeddings, to boost efficiency and effectiveness across all ML-driven services.
• Apply software engineering rigor and best practices to machine learning, including CI/CD, pipeline orchestration, etc.
• Help define best practices and workflows of machine learning life cycle and development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in ML modeling and working on large scale production systems.
• Comprehensive experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras, etc.) in a production environment with a track record of successful implementation in a commercial setting.
• Comprehensive experience in Python and SQL.
• Strong background in developing personalized search and recommendation systems, ideally in an e-commerce context.
• Familiar with development in containerization and cloud computing environments (we use AWS, but experience in other platform is useful as well).
• Bonus points for experience handling large scale e-commerce datasets.
• Bonus points for a MS or PhD in a quantitative field.

Salary Range: $160,000 - $220,000 + equity + benefits
