Site Reliability Engineer

Location Details: United Kingdom, Remote

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

We are seeking an expert Linux Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. As a Linux SRE, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our Linux-based systems. You will work closely with our development team to design, build, and maintain our infrastructure.

What you'll get to do...

• Design, build, and maintain our Linux-based infrastructure
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems
• Collaborate with our development team to ensure that our infrastructure meets the needs of our applications
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues
• Automate common tasks and processes to streamline operations
• Contribute to the development of our operational best practices and standards
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for our systems

Your experience should include...

• 3+ years of experience as a Linux SRE or proven ability as a Linux SRE
• Proficiency in Linux system administration, including server installation, configuration, bash scripting, and troubleshooting
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Salt
• Strong scripting skills in bash and one of the following: Python, Golang, or another scripting language
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work successfully in a team environment
• Experience with one or more derivatives of MySQL, PostgreSQL. or Cassandra
