This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. Our mission is to enable small businesses to build a website in minutes while on the go. We're looking for a strongly driven software engineer who loves web technologies like Javascript, React, Ruby and Go. You will be building out GoDaddy's next generation Online Appointments, demonstrating horizontal scaling solutions such as MySQL, NodeJS, Ruby, and the latest browser frameworks like React. As a full-stack engineer, your duties will involve heavy server-side development, as well as client-side UI development and integration efforts.

This product is one of the key strategic pillars of GoDaddy, with an important contribution to the company's revenue, customer growth, and innovation. The right individual will be determined, positive, and able to amplify the talents of others.

What you'll get to do...

• Lead, architect, design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Go / Ruby / Node JS / React JS
• Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
• Work closely with PM, UX, and data scientists to question the limitations for crafting magnificent user experiences
• Containerize applications using Docker and lead container orchestration with Kubernetes
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the full stack
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Evaluate new technologies and develop proof of concepts, for opportunities to improve existing systems
• Embracing agile methodologies to continuously release and deploy iterations of our services
• Build automation for application changes and deployment for faster time to market

Your experience should include...

• 6+ years of confirmed experience as a Senior Software Engineer
• In-depth hands-on experience with Ruby / Node JS / React JS in designing and developing sophisticated applications
• Experience of any cloud provider (Advantage if it's AWS)
• Experience on Go programming language is an advantage or willingness to learn
• Ability to design a highly available system / identify bottlenecks / understand trade-offs in the choices made
• Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with alerting and monitoring
• Expert knowledge in Scrum
• Develop tools / frameworks / automation for quality delivery

You might also have...

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
