Location Details: United States Remote or Tempe

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you'll be working remotely from your home.  You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

What you'll get to do...

You will build world-class payment experiences for merchants and customers on GoDaddy Smart Payment Terminals. These payment experiences will be used by both internal and external developers building apps on the PoyntOS platform built on Android. In this role, you will manage a team of Engineers to drive solutions and execution through hands-on development, quality-assurance, and prototyping. You will also own and drive operational excellence and promote architectural initiatives, balancing long-term velocity with short-term customer needs. Product will be a close partner as you craft great product experiences.

Your experience should include...

• Track record of successfully building and managing an Android based mobile or device platform or OS team
• Proven track record of developing Android Apps and Services
• Experience with Android AOSP
• Experience with Bluetooth, NFC, Location and/or Accelerometer; other sensors
• Experience with Internationalization and Localization
• Experience with Embedded Systems
• Must have positive relationship orientation and the ability to nurture collaboration within and across teams

You might also have...

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science/engineering, or related field
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with Payment Processing, PCI Compliance and Payment Regulations
