At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.​

This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. Our mission is to enable small businesses to build a website in minutes while on the go. We're looking for a strongly driven software engineer who loves web technologies like Javascript, React and Ruby. You will be building out GoDaddy's next generation Online Appointments, leveraging horizontal scaling solutions such as MySQL, NodeJS, Ruby, and the latest browser frameworks like React. As a full-stack engineer, your duties will involve heavy client-side development, as well as server-side API development and integration efforts.

This product is one of the key strategic pillars of GoDaddy, with an important contribution to the company's revenue, customer growth, and innovation. The right individual will be self-driven, positive, and able to amplify the talents of others.

What you'll get to do...

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React JS / Node JS / Ruby
• Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
• Work closely with PM, UX, and data scientists to question the limitations for crafting magnificent user experiences
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage container orchestration with Kubernetes
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the full stack
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in software development to continuously improve our products and processes
• Adopting agile methodologies to continuously release and deploy iterations of our services
• Build automation for application changes and deployment for faster time to market

Your experience should include...

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development, with React JS
• 2+ years of professional experience in software development, with Node JS
• Working experience with Ruby
• Testing your code (writing functional and unit tests)
• Understanding of relational databases (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis)
• Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Git version-control, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Issue tracking and collaboration (Jira and Confluence)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices

You might also have...

• Advantage - experience of cloud provider (AWS), and other languages (Go, Typescript, shell scripts)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
