Location: United States - Remote

At GoDaddy, the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days), and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands

As an Engineering Manager for DIFY (Do It For You) Services, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring the success of our customers. Our goal is to help everyday entrepreneurs establish a professional online presence and expand their businesses through the creation of website design, advanced marketing, and commerce capabilities. Our success in helping micro-businesses grow comes from the ability to match GoDaddy solutions with customers' needs and with the assistance of automation and generative AI technology create seamless customer experiences and outcomes. What you'll get to do…

  • Lead a team of ~5 Product and Platform engineers, providing mentorship, technical vision, and fostering a supportive, autonomous environment.
  • Coordinate with partner teams to deliver experiences that result in positive outcomes for our customers.
  • Be responsible for meeting robust engineering goals around customer-facing application load times, application uptime, and our customer-facing bug’s service level agreement.
  • Drive architecture and design reviews, lead development patterns, and ensure robust, resilient systems.
  • Partner with Product Management to understand requirements, refine the backlog, and make trade-offs.
  • Launch experiments, measure customer impact, and make data-driven decisions to drive top of funnel conversations.
  • Build valuable company connections and ensure your team’s directional alignment with GoDaddy.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach and create a healthy, productive work environment for engineers.
  • Stay in communication with team in Slack and Zoom.

Your experience should include…

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern tech stacks such as Javascript, Typescript, NodeJS, and React.
  • Experience managing, leading, teaching, growing, and mentoring others.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and shipping systems to cloud (AWS) or on-prem applications with multiple tiers, including API, caching, async event processing, relational/non-relational databases, and modern UI frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and technology, including best practices and appropriate applications of these technologies.
  • Strong understanding of modern web applications, services and technologies.
  • Solid architecture skills, particularly related to web systems, cloud infrastructures, and distributed systems.
  • Experience delivering in an Agile software development environment and applying continuous improvement principles, as well as automated testing frameworks such as Cypress.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple business priorities, while delivering high-quality results.
