Job Description

A Sr QE (Quality Engineering) Engineer role at Globe Telecom focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of software and digital products through testing, quality assurance methodologies, and automation. Key responsibilities include developing and executing test strategies, identifying and tracking defects, implementing quality improvements, and collaborating with development teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. The role often requires expertise in automation tools like Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, Allure Report, Jira/XRay, as well as CI/CD tools such as GitLab.

Testing & Quality Assurance:
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

Automation:
Utilize automation frameworks and tools, reports (e.g., Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, Allure Report, Jira/XRay) to create automated test scripts for efficient testing processes.

SDLC Integration:
Integrate quality assurance principles into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and champion shift-left testing.

Defect Management:
Identify, document, and track software defects, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and provide quality insights to stakeholders.

Collaboration:
Work with development teams and other stakeholders to ensure end-to-end quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

Quality Improvement:
Contribute to quality initiatives, follow quality and security standards, and ensure product reliability.

Required Skills & Tools:

• Experience: At least 8 to 10 years experience in Quality Test Automation

• QA Methodologies: Strong understanding of QA methodologies and strategy development.

• Automation Expertise: Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks like Playwright, Allure Report, Appium, WebdriverIO, LambdaTest, K6, etc.,

• CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab.

• Programming Languages: Skill in Typescript or JavaScript for test scripting and development.

• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, GCP.

• Performance & Security Tools: Experience with Artillery, K6 for performance and security testing.

• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.

• Work arrangement: hybrid setup (3x onsite / 2x offsite every week)
