Summary of Role: 

GlobalFoundries is seeking a New College Graduate Equipment Engineer to join our post-fab manufacturing team in Essex Junction, Vermont. In this role, you will support semiconductor manufacturing equipment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability, performance, safety, and operational efficiency. 

This fully onsite position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing technologies while developing technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a high-volume production environment. 

Essential Responsibilities include: 

• Support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. 

• Monitor equipment performance and analyze data to identify opportunities to improve reliability, quality, productivity, and cost. 

• Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues, root cause investigations, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. 

• Participate in equipment installations, qualifications, upgrades, and manufacturing readiness activities. 

• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Facilities, Process Engineering, Quality, and supplier teams to resolve technical issues and support production objectives. 

• Develop and maintain equipment documentation, procedures, specifications, and maintenance strategies. 

• Support engineering projects focused on safety, equipment uptime, cycle time, and operational excellence. 

• Collect, analyze, and present technical data to support engineering decisions and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Other Responsibilities: 

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Education – Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related equipment-focused engineering field from an accredited degree program. 

• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing. 

• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Prior related internship or co-op experience. 

• Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. 

• Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making. 

• Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Strong planning & organizational skills 

• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, automation, or manufacturing systems. 

• Familiarity with data analysis, structured problem-solving, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement methods.

$58,400.00 - $100,800.00
