YOUR MISSION 

As a Backend Engineer specializing in Microsoft Azure, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and infrastructure to support our applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of our systems. 

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES 

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Microsoft Azure technologies. 
• Architect and implement cloud-based solutions on Azure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. 
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. 
• Optimize and troubleshoot backend services for performance, scalability, and efficiency. 
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing. 

• Monitor system health, identify and resolve issues, and implement solutions to improve overall system reliability. 
• Stay updated with Azure best practices, tools, and technologies to continuously improve our systems. 

Requirements

YOUR PROFILE 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 
• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure technologies. 
• Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, C#, or Java. 
• Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure App Service, Azure Storage, etc. 
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) on Azure. 
• Experience in designing and optimizing RESTful APIs. 
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for automation and deployment. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus. 
• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is beneficial. 
• Familiarity with microservices architecture patterns.

This is a hybrid role, based in Berlin (top location) with an expectance to ideally be on-site/in office for 2 days a week.
