Team mission

Since 2020, GetYourGuide has established a ML Platform team, providing the tools and best practices to help the Data Products team build and maintain production-ready ML/AI systems. The team's mission is to enable our diverse teams and ML/AI use-cases via self-service tools and automation.

As a Senior MLOps Engineer, you'll join our Machine Learning Platform team and have a chance to make an enormous impact across all of our data products. You'll work closely with our Data Products teams to build systems that enable ML/AI algorithms to go to production. You will:

• You'll design and implement systems and tools for scalable and more efficient machine learning solutions.
• You will work to increase the amount of data products in production reliably, reduce the time to production, and reduce operational costs.
• You'll be partnering/collaborating with product teams to bring advanced algorithms into production, following MLOps best practices.

Who you are:

• Software Engineering: You have strong fundamentals in Computer Science and a polyglot mindset. Python is your language of choice; you can migrate between various programming languages, though. Your passion is delivering clean code and investigating new tools, languages, and practices.
• Data Engineering: Previous experience in organizing and querying data at scale. Data warehouses and tools like Spark are not a novelty for you
• Data Science & MLOps: Data Scientists are close stakeholders for you. You share a genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and are proficient in applying MLOps best practices as scale.
• Business Experience: You possess the ability to prioritize and manage stakeholders; they know you for your good communication and collaboration skills.
• Vision: Your ideas turn into reliable and maintainable code. Your track record of outcome-driven work evidences this. You are experienced in operating at scale and have a cloud DevOps / infrastructure mindset.
• Autonomy: Your mindset can be described as autonomous, proactive and customer-oriented. You own your projects.
• Teamwork: You strongly believe that a team is more than the sum of its members. Mentoring and sharing knowledge are fulfilling activities for you.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in scale-up environments with various technologies
• Interest in LLMs and the new challenges of Generative AI
