Senior Product Manager - Billing

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel (IL)

Experience Level: Senior

Description

The Gett Product team is obsessed with our customers and driven by our vision to build transformational products in the corporate mobility world. Our software helps businesses thrive by empowering people to be their best on the go — and everything we do is informed by data.

Billing is where Gett's marketplace becomes revenue. Every ride creates a chain of financial obligations — what a corporate customer owes, what a driver is due, what Gett keeps, what a partner operator settles — all flowing through one accounting platform. When it's right, nobody notices; when it's wrong, our largest customers, our finance team, and our drivers feel it at once.

The Billing product team owns that platform as it becomes Gett's modern financial backbone. We're adding a Senior Product Manager to take end-to-end ownership of a core area of the platform — partnering with the team lead on strategy while going deep on the accounting core, settlement and reconciliation, and the migration onto a unified system.

Key responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of a major area of the Billing platform — the accounting core (the single source of financial truth: transactions, balances, adjustments, multi-entity/multi-currency, GL mapping), settlement and reconciliation (matching, exception handling, period close), and the unification and migration of market-specific logic onto a modern platform.
  • Own your area of the roadmap end to end — from problem definition, business case, and PRD through delivery, launch, migration, and post-launch measurement. You're accountable for the outcome in production, not for handing off a spec.
  • Get to the root cause. When a number is wrong, trace it across systems and fix the underlying issue — especially where Finance or Ops are absorbing product gaps with manual work.
  • Design for generality. Anticipate downstream effects, resist per-market special cases, and make the platform absorb new commercial models through configuration, not code.
  • Lead complex migration programs: parallel runs, data reconciliation, cutover, rollback criteria, and finance sign-off — treating migration quality as a first-class deliverable.
  • Work directly with engineering on architecture decisions — ledger design, event contracts, financial data model, invoice pipelines — with the depth to be a credible focal point.
  • Bridge Finance, Controlling, R&D, and Billing Ops. Translate accounting and audit constraints into requirements, and communicate the agenda — including risk, trade-offs, and bad news — to partners and executive leadership.
  • Define the metrics that matter: billing accuracy, dispute rates, cycle timeliness, manual-touch volume, and revenue leakage.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 6+ years in product management, including 3+ owning billing, invoicing, accounting, subscription, or financial-platform products in a B2B context.
  • A degree in a financial or quantitative discipline — Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering & Management.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex financial systems end to end, where correctness is non-negotiable and errors are visible to customers and auditors.
  • Working fluency in core accounting: double-entry, AR/AP, revenue recognition, credit notes, reconciliation and GL implications, and tax/VAT handling across jurisdictions.
  • Experienced with event-driven systems, data models, and SQL — able to interrogate a data warehouse yourself rather than waiting on an analyst.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with real experience as the product voice among finance and engineering leaders and presenting to executive leadership.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in an ambiguous, long-horizon domain and bring structure to it.
  • An advantage: ledger-based/double-entry platforms and third-party billing or subscription-management systems (e.g. SAP-based stacks) with ERP integration; marketplace or two-sided-platform experience with multi-market, multi-currency, multi-entity products; and a mobility, logistics, or travel background.
