We are looking for a Head of Application Engineering to lead our engineering organization for buried water infrastructure across the Nordics and Poland — large-diameter Weholite PE pipe, custom-fabricated chambers, stormwater tanks and pumping structures, designed for individual projects and manufactured in our own plants in Sweden and Poland

In this newly created role, you will bring together engineering teams across countries, establish common priorities and ways of working, and strengthen how we support customers and the business. You will lead an organization of approximately 20 engineers and designers based in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Poland.

The position can be based in Borås (Sweden), Copenhagen (Denmark) or Vaasa/Helsinki (Finland). Position reports to the Head of Infrastructure Solutions Business.

Your tasks

• Lead and develop the Application Engineering organization across the Nordics and Poland.
• Create a common direction for teams working across different countries and locations.
• Develop the organization, responsibilities, and ways of working to support future business growth.
• Drive greater consistency, productivity, and quality through common processes, tools, and priorities.
• Strengthen cooperation between Application Engineering, Sales, Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Ensure reliable and efficient engineering support throughout customer projects, from quotation to delivery.
• Manage the functions budget and follow up performance against agreed financial and operational targets.

Your profile

• You have solid leadership experience from engineering, technical solutions, or another relevant technical function.
• You have experience leading and developing specialists or engineering teams.
• Technical credibility you can defend: you can read a static calculation, challenge a 3D model, and hold your ground in a design review with engineers who have done this for twenty years.
• You combine a strong technical understanding with the ability to set direction, prioritize, and make decisions.
• You have experience improving processes, structures, and collaboration across functions or locations.
• You understand how engineering contributes to customer value, operational performance, and business results.
• You hold a relevant university degree in engineering or have acquired equivalent knowledge through professional experience.
• You communicate fluently in English and can travel regularly within the region. Knowledge of a Nordic language, Polish or German is an advantage.
