Work Modality: This position requires to work 3x times a week at office.

In this role you will be responsible for occupant protection and vehicle safety performance for GM Vehicle Programs. You will support engineering projects by demonstrating initiative, creativity, innovation mindset, independent judgment, and project management throughout the vehicle development process. You will increase your technical knowledge while working with multiple functional groups in the integration of solutions to meet vehicle requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineering functions, suppliers, and manufacturing group in the definition of action plans to deliver vehicle passive safety performance;

  • Participate in design reviews and peer reviews;

  • Develop comprehensive validation plan, prepare confirmation testing and perform post-test evaluations;

  • Evaluate test results and identify data anomaly;

  • Work with Senior Engineers to generate appropriate documentation (i.e.: Test reports, Type Approval);

  • Keep frequent communication with working team, monitoring action plans, and presenting performance status at appropriate forums on regular basis;

  • Lead and support the development and improvement of virtual and physical validation methods for Safety Performance.

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.

  • CREA registration eligible, with registration required in the future.

  • Fluent in Portuguese and English Languages.

  • Basic knowledge of Automotive Passive Safety Performance development.

  • Proficiency to evaluate CAE and physical test results.

  • Knowledge of statistical and optimization tools and techniques.

  • Knowledge of engineering theory and fundamental
