The Digital and Technology team at General Mills stands as the largest and foremost unit, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and innovations in technology while leading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the organization. Collaborating closely with global business teams, the focus is on understanding business models and identifying opportunities to leverage technology for increased efficiency and disruption. The team's expertise spans a wide range of areas, including AI/ML, Data Science, IoT, NLP, Cloud, Infrastructure, RPA and Automation, Digital Transformation, Cyber Security, Blockchain, SAP S4 HANA and Enterprise Architecture. The MillsWorks initiative embodies an agile@scale delivery model, where business and technology teams operate cohesively in pods with a unified mission to deliver value for the company. Purpose of the role

 

The Digital and Technology team at General Mills India is looking for a passionate Solutions Manager to join the D&T Consumer Insight Team. Reporting to the Sr. D&T Manager in India and collaborating with the Global CI team, this people manager role will bridge business objectives with technological capabilities.

Solutions leader who translates business requirements into technology & process solutions.

This role supports Global Consumer Insights through portfolio management, long range planning, business case development, and team leadership. This individual will also play a pivotal role in the development of a vision and roadmap for the future of consumer takeaway data (syndicated, point of sale sources) in partnership with CMI, SRM, and Sales. The main areas of capability are strategy, technology, data, team leadership and project management.

This role will report through the Commercial Data and Analytics organization.   It will interact heavily with CI leadership and support their global needs. A great candidate will have strong learning agility, experience working with and understanding complex data sets, ability to lead and coach a team, and excellent communication skills.

 

 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Strategic partner
  • Prioritize and manage flow of work
  • Mentor and actively coach project team.
  • Own the roadmap for solutions within assigned areas
  • Sponsor and actively engage in projects within assigned areas
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communication
  • Understand and leverage a broad set of shared services across IT, HR, Finance, Corporate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
  • High sense of accountability, self-managing, results-oriented, and capable of leading multiple initiatives simultaneously through rigorous prioritization
  • Team and Stakeholder Management
  • Ability to articulate business requirements and bridge the gap with development teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
  • Strong understanding and implementation of Agile methodology
  • Strong experience in exploring and analyzing large data sets using Excel and SQL to understand patterns, structures, and definition
  • Hands on experience working with SQL
  • Strong communication skills- verbal and written with ability to present complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story
  • Excellent problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of Consumer, Syndicated, Trade, Sales and Finance Data
  • Technologies – BigQuery - Google Cloud Platform, ETL
  • Intermediate proficiency working with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Agile Scrum master certification
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong influencing skills
