The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. Purpose of the role
The purpose of this entry-level role is to support the data extraction, transformation, processes from various sources, while contributing to the development and maintenance of business intelligence (BI) solutions. The role involves executing project tasks accurately and on time, performing basic data analysis and validation, and collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders. Additionally, the position aims to build foundational knowledge in supply chain principles and key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance data-driven decision-making and solutions.
Key Accountabilities
- Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL)
- Perform extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from multiple sources like GCP, SQL, AFO, and SAP ERP for low-complexity projects.
- Create database queries and scripts using SQL and BigQuery for data manipulation and analysis.
- Business Intelligence Development
- Develop and maintain BI solutions, including interactive tools, automation, and data visualizations.
- Conduct basic data analysis and validation to ensure the accuracy and consistency of deliverables.
- Work with senior team members and data engineers to refine data models and improve BI assets.
- Delivery Execution
- Execute assigned project tasks with precision, ensuring all deliverables are met within the established timelines and project scope.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proactively call out potential risks and seek guidance from senior team members to ensure thorough risk management.
- Develop & demonstrate basic knowledge of supply chain principles, processes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive better solutions and analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
-Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Mandatory).
-Experience: 0–1.5 years of experience in data development, analysis, or visualization, with demonstrated technical acumen.
-Skills:
1. Expertise in data ETL, SQL/BigQuery query writing, and visualization best practices.
2. Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Advanced Excel, Tableau, and SQL Server.
3. Clearly articulate ideas in both written and verbal formats.
4. Strong collaboration skills, maintaining a positive and constructive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
-Master’s degree
-1+ years of related experience
-Major Area of Study: B.E., B.Tech., Engineering,
-Professional Certifications: SQL, GCP, Tableau, Excel
-Basic understanding of Supply Chain or CPG industry
