Role Overview/Team

As a Software QA Engineer Intern, you will contribute to the optimization and enhancement of GEN’s core business systems by participating in manual and automated testing. This is a hands-on internship where you will gain exposure to testing processes, documentation, and the opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams.

Mission and Goals

• Contribute to enhancing and optimizing GEN’s core business systems by supporting manual and automated testing processes.

• Participate in a range of activities, including test case creation, testing, automation, and process improvements, to ensure a high-quality product.

Objectives:

• Engage in manual end-to-end testing for cross-team development activities.

• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

• Validate new features, bug fixes, and product ideas, ensuring the highest quality standards.

Competencies:

• Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies.

• Experience in testing API endpoints.

• Proficiency in English for communication with English-speaking teams.

• Basic understanding of Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM and KANBAN.

• Strong critical and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using Postman for API testing.

• Basic programming knowledge (any language).

• Understanding of RESTful API principles.

• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or relevant IT-focused education.
